- Lucy is 38lbs
- Lucy continues to grow and learn and fight and play
- She is making good progress on the daily walks, learning how not to jump up at people and other dogs ... there has been no real sign of aggression but she is so big we just can't ever let her be a jumper and it is clear by the hairs on the back of her neck that agression towards other dogs would be very easy to develop.
- We continue to have the occasional 'accident' in the house, they are always in front of the back door so that is a good thing but the kids aren't as attentive as they should be and she can't always hold it in ... I'm not pleased with this, I thought we were through it already but I don't THINK it is defiance so I'm not too concerned and it is a rare event.
- She is doing quite well at learning to not bite too hard, I have yet to have any marks left behind (other than the infamous nose dance from week 2), she responds very well to my efforts to let her know she is biting too hard. She still can get too excited, of course, and needs reigning in occasionally but on the whole she is doing very well
- She is a very affectionate dog, though she sleeps in a kennel overnight (we don't want to wake up to chaos, she's not ready to be let alone), she comes in to lie with whomever is still in bed after her morning constitutional at ~6am (anything earlier sees her go back to her kennel, like the 5am first call this morning). When she lies down she first does a little ear-nibble and then just cuddles right up with you and enjoys the closeness. At first she wanted to play but 6am in bed is NOT where I want to play so it is really nice to see her respond appropriately. We've never really had an affectionate dog so this is a real treat for us.
- Oh and I don't think I've mentioned it but her jaws are strong enough to lift her off the floor from her towel she is biting (no surprise there)
